becoming a caballero

The word "caballero", Spanish for "knight", implies a gentleman who is out of the ordinary— a reliable companion and worthy friend. It would be difficult to spend a week traveling across rough country with anyone less: therefore, the De Anza Trail Caballeros are an organization joined by invitation only. New riders must be sponsored by a Caballero in good standing and are considered full members after their second consecutive ride.
